BIOGRAPHY

Taylor Washington is currently a 2L at Howard University School of Law. She recently graduated from Howard University in Washington, DC where she received her B.A. in Strategic, Legal, and Management Communications with a concentration in Public Relations and minor in Sports Management. With an educational background and work history grounded in the entertainment, sports, and media industries, she plans to apply her knowledge skills to the those industries through a career as an attorney or agent following law school. 

 

Determination and the ability to take on new tasks set her apart from the rest, professionally and personally. As a student actively involved on and off campus, she is paving her way for success in the classroom, the office, and the world using failures as stepping stones and passion as her force.Taylor is exceptionally skilled in brand management, content creation, social media management, campaign creation, public relations, sponsorships, endorsements, and partnerships.

 

From her expanisive work experience, she has gained the innate ability to take the initiative, quickly learn new skills, and work effectively and efficiently under pressure. Perseverance, assertiveness, hard work, and commitment to results guide her as a student, professional, and leader. It is her ability to work under pressure, on a timeline, in a team setting, and with great attention to details that continuously makes her an exceptional asset in each endeavor she pursues.

 

Taylor has an array of work experience in the entertainment, sports, and media industry. This includes interning with numerous companies including Scripps Networks Interactive, The Chamber Group, Viacom, the Recording Academy (the Grammy), the Creative Artists Agency (CAA), and Octagon. 

 

As a law student, Taylor continues to expand upon those experience constantly emersing herself in opportunitites to develop and grow as an industry professional inside and outside of ther classroom. In addition to interning with Scripps Networks Interactive and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), Taylor currently serves as the treasurer to the Intellectual Property Student Association and a student attorney in the Intellectual Property & Trademark Clinic (IPTC). Additionally, she is an active member of the Sports and Entertainment Law Student Association and Women in Sports & Events (WISE).

As an undergraduate student, she participated in organizations including the Howard University Student Association (HUSA), the Annenberg Honors Program, and Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity. Furthermore, she has received various honors awards including admittance in Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges, the All-AKPsi Academic Team, T.Howard Foundation, and the AKPsi Leadership Academy. 

 

Taylor prides herself in being Tailor Made for Success, Tailor Made for Results, Tailor Made for Innovation, and Tailor Made for Change. Something that is Tailor Made is something that is uniquely designed. It is something that cannot be replicated. It is something that is powerful. It is something that stands out from its counterparts in the same manner that her performance, skillset, and work does. She raises the question, "why bargain shop when you can have designer?"
